COMPLIANCE GUIDANCE

To the Company, “compliance” refers to observance of all laws and regulations in corporate activities, and thorough business ethics practiced to gain the trust of and a good reputation among society. These Guidelines establish specific items for promoting compliance, and are intended to gain the trust of society.

1. General provisions

  • 1.Executives and employees are to observe the items set forth in these Guidelines.
  • 2.Executives and employees are to observe all laws and regulations in the course of business activities, observe social norms, and act with common sense based on a high sense of ethics as members of society.
  • 3.In the event that any compliance violations are discovered, the executives and employees shall immediately correct them. Incidents that cannot be remedied by executives and employees shall immediately be reported to their superiors or the relevant department head to request corrective measures. However, if immediate correction is not feasible, the incident shall be reported to the Compliance Promotion Committee based on the Compliance Consultation Desk Operational Regulations, and the committee will then take corrective measures.

2.Ensuring trust from customers

  • 1.We shall respect customer opinions and engage in business activities with customer satisfaction as our number one priority.
  • 2.We will always treat our customers with fairness and integrity, and quickly and accurately respond to customer requests.
  • 3.We shall strive to provide services and products that reflect customer expectations and lead to satisfaction.
  • 4.When providing new products and services, we will take sufficient precautions to ensure that they are useful for the company and safe.
  • 5.We shall take scrupulous care to ensure that customer information learned during visits to the course, etc., is not leaked, etc.

3.Ensuring trusted relationships with clients

  • 1.We recognize that all clients are partners in good faith who occupy an equal position to the Company, and shall treat them with fairness and integrity.
  • 2.We shall ensure fairness and transparency in regard to industry commercial practices and systems in accordance with common sense as accepted by society and with laws and regulations.
  • 3.Entertainment of and reception of gifts from clients shall be conducted according to common business practices and within the confines of common sense as accepted by society.
  • 4.We shall take scrupulous care to ensure that confidential information learned in the course of concluding a contract with clients is not leaked, etc.

4.Ensuring a trusted relationship with employees

  • 1.We shall ensure that work regulations are thoroughly understood, that they are not violated, and that no dishonest actions are perpetrated that violate the spirit of the work regulations.
  • 2.We shall ensure that laws and regulations and company rules on safety and hygiene are observed, and maintain a working environment that is heathy and comfortable.
  • 3.We shall respect the rights of each individual, and not engage in any speech or actions that can be perceived as discriminatory or as sexual harassment, or that harm the dignity of individuals.
  • 4.We shall take scrupulous care in managing the personal information of employees.

5.Ensuring the trust of society

  • 1.We shall respect local cultures and customs, actively engage in events to ensure dialog with and contribute to the development of the community.
  • 2.In dealings with politicians and public servants, we shall act with strict prudence to ensure that we do not violate laws or regulations on bribery, nor engage in any conduct that results in misunderstandings on profitable partnerships with politics or the government, and ensure that relationships are sound and transparent.
  • 3.We shall take a firm stance against antisocial forces that threaten the order and safety of civil society.
  • 4.We shall not engage in any expressions, words, or actions that are linked to discrimination or harm the respect for human rights or individuality.
  • 5.We shall always ensure that our conduct is in line with that of society, and not engage in any conduct that could be criticized by society.

6.Supplementary provisions

  • These Guidelines shall be periodically reviewed by the Compliance Promotion Committee, revised in accordance with their decisions, and such revisions will be made known swiftly.
